School is full of science facts.  What is the water cycle?  Who lives in a rainforest?  How is global warming changing the earth?  We know a lot about how the world works.  But for scientists the questions never stop.  In this presentation, I introduce Super Scientist, Max Axiom, the star of my recent graphic novel, The Basics of Cell Life with Max Axiom.  Then I take students into the lab and out in the field with working scientists to see today’s cutting edge science in action.

An Adventure Poem Comes Alive

Through lyric language, stunning natural history illustrations, and a full pack of camping gear, I take students on a wildlife-filled, back-country adventure in the Canadian wilderness.  My program brings camping to life and shares the story behind the writing of this book.  I use my poetry as a springboard for students to start writing about their own passions.

Each presentation can be tailored to early or late elementary students as well as middle schoolers.  I can do up to four talks a day and require an LCD projector for a PowerPoint slide presentation.  Books can be purchased directly from me.
